Intel Challenge Katowice 2018 female event ended with a huge mark from the Middle East

If you are a follower of our site, you were certain that there was be a women’s championship held in the past few days, entitled Intel Challenge Katowice 2018.

 

Dignitas’ female team took the lion’s share of the Intel Challenge Katowice’s prize pool after beating Squared Prospects, one of the tournament’s dark horses, 2-0 in the final.

The North American squad took $25,000, half of the $50,000 pool, after finishing first place at the Intel Challenge Katowice, which started on February 23 and ended today. On their road to lifting the trophy, the North American squad beat Singularity fe and Keyd Stars fe in the group stage before moving to the playoffs, where they won best-of-threes against favorites RES in the semis and dark horses Squared Prospectsin the final.

The two-group eight-team tournament saw the European combine Squared Prospects upset RES and beat a flailing CLG Red ahead of their playoff run in which they took Keyd Stars fein two maps before ultimately falling in the grand final of the tournament. The third place decider pitted the international superteam, RES, against the Brazilians of Keyd Stars fe, which the former won in two maps to take the bronze.

The most exciting event in this tournament was the participation of the first Arab women’s organization, RES Gaming, which was able to win the third place in the tournament with an award of $ 8,000, a good attendance without doubt of a modern organization.
