PUBG Mobile Star Challenge returns for the second year with big prize pool

PUBG Mobile players will be given a new opportunity to compete for huge money prizes with the return of the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, which saw some strong competition between international teams last year in Dubai, UAE

This year’s PUBG Mobile Star Challenge (PMSC) will come with official support from Google Play and offer $250,000 to winners, which may seem like a small amount compared to last year ($600,000) due to the cash prizes being more spread out through more seasonal tournaments. It’s still a huge amount of money regardless.

This year’s tournament will also feature a different kind of competition with 16 online content creators playing alongside pros, with the voting process starting on July 1 for the most popular PUBG Mobile creators to choose 16 of them to play alongside international players.

No dates or further details for the qualifiers yet, but we’ll keep you updated throughout the next few weeks when they arrive.

Esports Middle East hosted last year’s PMSC 2018 MENA qualifiers, PUBG Mobile GCC Cup, which saw great participation from Arab players competing for their share of the $10,000 prize and the chance to represent the Arab region in the main event. However, the final say was for the Indonesian team RRQ Athena who was later crowned the champion of the event.

PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) 2019, the other major tournament of the game, has already had its qualifiers launched in a number of countries to choose the teams participating in the $400,000 Spring Finals held in Berlin on 26 July.
