
Immortals reveals their newest player replacing HEN1
Today, we have received official confirmation from the Brazilian team known as Immortals that Caio “zqkS” Fonseca has officially joined the squad for the shooting game Counter-Strike : Global Offensive.
Immortals have formally confirmed the addition of Caio “zqkS” Fonseca to their CS:GO lineup.
The 25-year-old returns to North America after a brief spell with Ghost to help the PGL Major Krakow runners-up, who were on the lookout for a new AWPer following Henrique “HEN1” Teles’s decision to step down from the active roster together with twin brother Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles.
Immortals turned to Caio “zqkS” Fonseca after being rebuffed in their chase of Luminosity talent Gustavo “yeL” Knittel and of TeamOne veteran Pedro “Maluk3” Campos.
On the Brazilian team, zqkS will reunite with Lucas “steel”Lopes and Ricardo “boltz” Prass, who were his teammates on the KaBuM/Keyd Stars roster that attended MGL X Games Aspen and the ESL One Katowice Major in early 2015.
“zqkS’ spirited hunger and professionalism aimed towards competitive success have convinced myself and my staff that he’s a fantastic addition to round out our CS:GO roster,” Nick Phan, Immortals’ General Manager, said in a statement.
zqkS becomes Immortals’ third signing since their impressive campaign at the last Major, following in the footsteps of João “horvy” Horvath and Lucas “destiny” Bullo, who signed from k1ck and Luminosity, respectively.
The new Immortals line-up will make its first appearance this weekend, in the North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor, in which 16 teams will battle it out for five spots at the $50,000 event.
