Naughty Dog: Nothing in works until Uncharted 4 is finished

You’ve probably heard the latest rumors about a new The Last of Us being in development at Naughty Dog, but a new statement from the developers denies that and puts our excitement to sleep.

In a new interview with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End directors. Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann dismissed the rumors that any new project is being worked on. Revealing that any new ideas for the next game will have to wait until Uncharted 4’s development is finished.

“We’re 110 percent in Uncharted 4 territory now. Blinders on, make this awesome.”

“We totally get it, because we have those same feelings as well. We have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we’ve brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4.”

Any title that might be coming next from Naughty Dog could be at a very early concept stage. That means we’ll have to wait longer for any new information about The Last of Us 2 until Uncharted 4 is released for the PS4 sometime this year
