New Dissidia Final Fantasy game coming to Japanese Arcades

Square Enix announced in a sudden move that a new Dissidia Final Fantasy is in the work after being absent for more than 5 years when it first released on PSP. The new game will be exclusive to Japanese Arcades only however.

The reveal was made at Japan Amusement Expo in Chiba. The game will have a 3v3 fighting system. Confirmed characters so far include:

• The Onion Knight from Final Fantasy 3
• Y’Shtola from Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn
• Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7
• Terra Branford from Final Fantasy 6
• Lightning from Final Fantasy 13
• Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy
