Metal Gear Online will support up to 16 players

New information were revealed through the official Metal Gear Solid Japanese website about the multiplayer portion of the last game in the series Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Apparently, Metal Gear Online will support up to 16 players in its matches for PC and current-gen consoles.

As for the PS3 and Xbox 360, a limit of 12 players was confirmed as well. All the owners of MGS V will get the online mode day 1 when it drops on the 1st of September. You can watch the trailer that was shown at The Game Awards 2014 by Hideo Kojima below in case you missed it.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the conclusion of the series according to Kojima, where he is “closing the loop” on Snake’s story.
