Wildstar will turn Free-to-Play this year
Last year’s MMORPG Wildstar, which was developed by former World of Warcraft developers at Carbine Studios is said to be heading for a transition in business model. You no longer have to pay for a copy as the game will turn Free-to-Play soon.
The developers revealed their intention to go F2P, promising fans that this doesn’t mean the game will change in quality or become pay to win. The profit will be made using a similar monthly subscription to that seen in The Elder Scrolls Online where you get customs, game money and the chance to try new characters. Meaning Wildstar players can enjoy the full experience without paying for anything.
The game’s transition is to be made this Fall and become Free to play on PC.
