The Steam Controller’s final design is here, coming this year
After nearly two years of Valve’s announcement, a controller to combine the precision of a mouse and comfort of a gamepad by the name of “Steam Controller”, we can finally rest our eyes on the final design and layout that will be available for the new controller when it releases starting next October.
The price tag for Steam Controller sits at $50. It has a rather unique design allowing for the precision of a mouse with the touch pads it has on both sides in addition to regular buttons similar to the Xbox controllers and a thumbstick. The device was specifically designed (but not limited to) to be used with Steam platform and the upcoming Steam Machines to combine the power of a PC with the comfort of a couch in the living room.
We can talk more about the new controller but we think the official video does a better job at that. So watch below to get to know more on the Steam Controller:
As for Steam Machines, they too will be available starting October and on shelves November 10. Many manufacturers will be revealing their offers as Alienware was the first to unveil its lineup and the prices. They’re below for you to check them out.
