Ubisoft has learned a valuable lesson from Watch Dogs
After the huge controversy surrounding the game Watch Dogs and its graphical downgrade, many people seem to lost their trust in Ubisoft’s games quality as the trailers for their games are always better than the game itself. But looks like Ubisoft have learned from their mistakes and they won’t let it happen again according to CEO Yves Gillemot.
Speaking to a website the CEO of Ubisoft said “With E3 2015 we said, ‘OK, let’s make sure the games are playable, that they’re running on the target machines.’
“When we show something, we ask the team, make sure it’s playable, make sure gamers can immediately see exactly what it is.”
Gillemot also commented on the sales and success of Watch Dogs that ensured more games in that franchise are going to be developed, and in fact some ideas are already being researched for the upcoming game.
Should we trust Ubisoft this time around with what they showed us at E3 2015? We’ve seen Ghost Recon: Wildlands, For Honor and many more games that looked stunning both in gameplay and graphics. Only time will tell if they’ll ever be as good as displayed.
