Next Battlefield game confirmed for 2016

Battlefield 5, or whatever the name will be, is coming next year according to EA’s most recent investors call.

Chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen spoke to the investors about the company’s plans, confirming that a new Battlefield title is in development for a next year release following this year’s other important shooter Battlefront.

The company confirmed that a shooting title will be a yearly core title for it. So while this year has Star Wars: Battlefront, the year after will be Battlefield’s return, which was teased to go back to “military-style” theme with fun elements.

Until it’s released, EA is keeping the Battlefield 4 players happy with constant updates and content to keep them enjoying it the longest time possible, which is the developer’s DICE new aim with its games.

Star Wars: Battlefront is coming November 17 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
