New information and screenshots revealed for upcoming Attack on Titan game

Upcoming Koei Tecmo title based on the popular anime series Attack on Titan had got some new information as well as a handful of pictures showing the three heroes Eren, Armin and Mikasa.

According to developer Omega Force, Attack on Titan game takes place at the same time as the original 2013 show and includes the same voice actors. As for the gameplay there will be a “high tactical freedom” allowing players to approach the battle the way they see fit; either slowly and carefully or directly. The battle direction would be affected by how the player participates and in which way.

3D Maneuver Gear serves a similar purpose to the show as well. It provides fast transportation in the sky of the city to fight the titans and help supporting characters by causing distraction. The only way to kill a titan is by slicing the back of their necks just like the anime, it’s also possible to immobilize them first by targeting their limps making them vulnerable to your attack.

There will be some sort of destruction affecting walls and ceilings and it might get in the player’s way making them forced to change direction. As for the graphical aspect of the game it’s said that it will look exactly like the anime did so no worries about that. You can check the newly released screenshots below for yourself:

Attack on Titan comes to PS3/4 and PS Vita this Winter in Japan, and in 2016 for Europe and North America.
