Nintendo announces its new president

A couple of months earlier we said goodbye to one of the most influencing names in the industry and Nintendo’s president “Satoru Iwata”. Ever since then the company was run temporarily by Mario creator Miyamoto along with the Wii architecture Genyo Takeda. This is bound to change when the new president that has been announced starts his duties.

Tatsumi Kamishima will be the 6th president of Nintendo since its debut 125 years ago. He’ll start working as the president on September 16. Kamishima filled a couple of positions at Nintendo as the head of Human Resources and the president of Nintendo’s American division before Fils-Aime came in 2006. He also worked in banks and other business jobs before he joined the company.

As usual with the change in leadership we can expect different approaches for the company. What will come from Kamishima is yet to be seen, so let’s wait and see.
