New mod allows you to run Fallout 4 on your low-specs PC
Are you feeling jealous of all the people enjoying Fallout 4 recently? Your PC is weaker than being able to retain a decent frame-rate even on the lowest settings? Then you have to check this mod out that aims to improve the frame-rate on weak machines.
The idea behind this mod is to lower the size of the textures in the game so it becomes less resources-hungry, while also retaining the vanilla art-style of the Fallout 4 world. The mod creator said that most of the game’s textures are 2K resolution and what he did is lowering them to a smaller resolution so it can give you a frame-rate boost that helps your PC.
“What I have done and am doing is trying to fix that problem and retain the vanilla art style as best I can, while reducing the texture size, and using proper compression on textures that shouldn’t be in dxt5 format for the actual graphical return you get.”

Fallout 4 is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
