EA admits that Star Wars Battlefront disappointed fans

EA has acknowledged that Star Wars Battlefront may have disappointed some shooter fans for not having enough depth in its gameplay. Ever since it was released the game received mixed reception and struggled to have the liking of hardcore audience, but that was because the game wants to reach a wider audience.

Speaking at aconference, EA’s Blake Jorgenson said that by looking to deliver for as wide an audience as possible, the game may have disappointed hardcore shooter fans.

“Star Wars Battlefront is a first-person shooter, but it is [one of] the only teen-rated first-person shooters. We had designed it to be a much more accessible product to a wide age group,So, an 8-year-old could play with his father on the couch, as well as a teenager or 20-year-old could play the game and enjoy it. It is more accessible. And for the hardcore, it may not have the depth that they wanted in the game.”

Star Wars: Battlefront is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
