Valve listens to the complains and nerfs the R8 gun
Valve recently introduced the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive winter update earlier this week. The update brought many new additions but the most noteworthy one was the OP R8 gun, something that fans were upset about.
The new R8 Revolver, which occupies the same slot of the iconic Desert Eagle, was said to be extremely powerful for a secondary cheap weapon. Some went on to say it was almost as powerful as the AWP itself. This led Valve to backtrack its mistake and nerf the new gun for the players.
“While it typically takes more time to generate enough data to drive an update (and gameplay updates are always a bit disruptive), in this case it’s clear that we got the damage wrong and can respond immediately,”
The damage of the revolver has been reduced and the weapon takes longer to fire now, so you might wanna go back to your old style of play again.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is now available on PC through Steam.
