Next Assassin’s Creed game in 2017, visits Egypt

Looks like Ubisoft are finally taking a break from their annual Assassin’s Creed releases, as the upcoming game might be releasing in 2017 and skipping 2016 all together.

The new game according to a leak from a developer is set in Ancient Egypt and is codenamed “Empire”. It tells a new story in the series in a colorful environment and an open world that the player can traverse in different ways like horses and ships. The map size is three times as big as Black Flag and has similar aspects to the Witcher games.

Players will take the role of a former slave accompanied by his eagle pet that he can command. Even though the protagonist will be of a silent type, but many big plots will happen around him to connect the game to other titles in the series, as we’ve seen hints on this new Egypt setting in Black Flag and Unity.

In other news from the same leak, Watch Dogs 2 is said to fill the gap in 2016, and it’s set in San Francisco and it comes with new mechanics different from the disappointing first game

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is now available on PC and current gen consoles.
