New changes to hit Steam bundles pricing
Looks like Valve are going to implement some changes into the widely used digital Steam store to make purchasing bundles a bit better of a deal than it is now.
A new dynamic pricing system will be implemented in the Steam store to allow users who already have some items to get their prices off the purchased bundle, which is a move that surely makes sense. When you buy a collection of DLCs or games you won’t be charged anymore with all of the items in case you own some.
“With Steam Bundles, if a customer already [owns] some items in the Bundle, they will pay for and receive only the items not already in their account,” the documentation reads. “This allows the best fans of your series or franchise to ‘complete the set’ and get a deal on the remaining items in the Bundle.”
In addition, bundle prices are expected to become a bit more cheaper now than purchasing items individually to make it a better deal. The new changes only apply to Steam-based bundles and not the likes of Humble Bundles or other third party websites.
