FPS shooters father John Romero returns with Blackroom
After many teasers and interviews done by John Romero, the next project from the DOOM spiritual father is finally here to check out, as the renowned video games designer returns once again with Blackroom.
Blackroom is a new game with a story about failed tests on Blackroom technology, which is a room that displays hologram images of users’ thoughts. This failed experiment led to the merging of Virtual and Real world and let monsters loose. The protagonist will be going on a journey with different worlds ranging from cowboy wild west to interstellar space stations through this room.
The game is an FPS shooter that will shake the genre once more. Adrian Carmack who’s also returning to work on the game with Romero said that the concept allows him to freely create and design environments and levels. The game is said to have 10-hours campaign mode and many multiplayer modes to enjoy.
You can visit the Kickstarter page here for more information and to back the game if you want. Blackroom project is seeking $700.000 and it’s already at $100.000 with more than 30 days to go.
