Mysterious Street Fighter II characters identity finally revealed

We don’t know how was it for you, but for us we were always confused by the two mysterious characters at Street Fighter II intro.. who are they? Why are they fighting? Was one of them Guile or Balrog? the confusion is finally over, as Capcom officially unveiled their identity yesterday.

The fighter with short blonde hair is apparently called “Scott”. Scott is a former boxer who now works as a bar bouncer, and his hobbies are..fishing. Max on the other hand is the name of the dark skinned fighter, who’s also a former boxer. Max is said to be in issues because of his gambling habits.. and maybe that’s why the two were fighting.

The addition of background info on the two characters comes as Capcom updated its characters database with the release of Street Fighter V. You can now check the updated profile pages of other characters as well such as Nadeshiko, Akuma, Rose, Sagat and Sodom from Street Fighter Alpha here.

So after 25 years we finally know, just like how this guy discovered a new way to beat some boxers in Mike Tyson’s Punch-out recently.. what’s next for retro gaming discovery?
