Team Vitality Kicks Twizz from CoD Roster
After flying over on roster lock day last month to join the EU CoD World League team, he’s leaving after nearly 5 weeks after a failed working permit meant he didn’t even get the chance to compete. The original press release indicated that he’d be also helping coach the team, however under his stewardship they still only managed to win 1 game, against the similar strugglers of Team LDLC.
It was the first example of a North American player flying over to compete with a European CoD console line up on a permanent basis, however it was destined to fail before it even began. It’s believed Activision blocked the official move before Twizz even got on a plane to France, as he didn’t have the appropriate work permit to compete in Europe. Despite being in the country for over a month, on what is suspected to be a holiday visa, the French organisation were unable to get the appropriate access.
The final straw seems to be after Twizz was denied the opportunity to compete with Team Vitality at the upcoming Gfinity Summer Masters at the start of July. The team declined the invite after his permission was denied and with CoD Champs in September, he appears to have returned home, Tweeting his goodbyes.
