Surprising swap ends the dies of legendary Fnatic roster
Fnatic’s legendary roster is no more at this point. This is what we now know after the team’s management revealed that three of its members are leaving to make space for other new players ending the legacy of Fnatic’s dream team at Counter-Strike.
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist, Jesper “JW” Wecksell, and Freddy “krimz” Johansson will now be playing under the banner of GODSENT, which features former Fnatic mastermind Markus “pronax” Wallsten. Meanwhile, Fnatic will bring on the GODSENT duo Jonas “lekr0” Olofsson and Simon “twist” Eliasson, as well as the team’s substitute player John “wenton” Eriksson.
“The day I never thought would come is sadly here,” JW said in the official news release. He continued: “Our results have not been satisfying to all of us lately and I guess you can say that these internal pressures test friendships, unfortunately we did not pass that test. What we achieved over the years together can only be described as amazing, with some of the most enjoyable moments of my life… Thank you to all who’ve been a part of that journey.”
As for the future of both teams, Fnatic has to requalify for Valve’s upcoming majors while GODSENT are taking the invitation away for having most of Fnatic’s winning roster without the need to play in qualifiers.
