Overwatch is free next week on consoles

Blizzard released details of its upcoming promotion to this year’s hottest FPS title Overwatch as it’s providing the game for free on PS4 and Xbox One for a limited time next week.

Starting September 9 and through 12 you’ll be able to download and play Overwatch free of charge and try some multiplayer action for yourself. Download size for the PS4 version sits at 9GB while Xbox One has 15GB of data. The free promotion comes with all 22 heroes as well as all maps released.

You won’t be needing a PS Plus subscription to try the game, however you will need an Xbox Gold if you want to play it on Xbox One. Your progress will be saved and transferred to the full version once you decide to buy it.
