Sombra joins Overwatch, original Diablo coming to Diablo II and more at BlizzCon
BlizzCon brought to us many new information about anticipated updates, characters and more. What stood out the most was of course the long-teased Overwatch character “Sombra” as well as a couple of interesting news for Diablo fans. Let’s get to it.
Starting with Sombra, the new character comes from a Mexican background and she’s described as an offensive character. Alongside her pistol Sombra can hack, disappear and more as an infiltrator. Blizzard released three new videos to introduce the character and you can watch them all below. Sombra is available to test at BlizzCon and she’ll be available for the rest of the Overwatch players for free next Tuesday.
Moving on to the RPG game Diablo III apparently there’s a new pack called “Rise of the Necromancer” which will be released next year for unannounced price. The pack gives Necromancer class a return to the series as they were described to have been holed in Kehjistan jungle training life and death powers. As the name implies these characters can control the dead to their side and can use many abilities like Bone Spear, Siphon Blood, Blood Rush and Summon Skeletons. You can also make corpses explode to deal AoE damage so that’s nice too.
More details on this new class will come at a later date as Blizz continues to work on it. There’s no set release date yet and the pack comes with two character slots, in game pet, two Stash Tabs for PC and more. To own the Necromancer Pack you have to own first the Diablo III full game including the Reaper expansion.
The last piece of news is also Diablo related and it’s something old time fans will love. An anniversary update by the name of Darkening of Tristram is coming to Diablo III with Cathedral dungeon that includes four original bosses, original graphics filter, and 8 directions classic movement.
More news will be coming soon as Blizzard is currently working on Rise of the Necromancer, the anniversary update, and two new zones Shrouded Moors and Temple of the First Born and they’re all coming next year.
