New Call of Duty game is set in Vietnam according to rumors
Despite Infinite Warfare only releasing a week ago, news and rumors about the next Call of Duty game are already here.
With Infinite Warfare sales down nearly 50% compared to Black Ops 3, it’s being reported that Sledgehammer Games are currently working on a Vietnam based shooter that they stopped working on in 2011, nicknamed Fog of War. Fans of the Call of Duty series have experienced what Activision calls “fatigue” over the futuristic setting of the last three games, with a Vietnam or earlier setting providing a more traditional boots on the ground experience. A welcome relief for those who quickly fell out of love with the jet pack mechanics of AW, BO3 and IW.
As always we’re going to know very little about the game until reveals around the middle of 2017, with the traditional November date for release. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is now available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
