World record for Spyro 2 speedrun now set at just 8 minutes

The speedrunners community continues to impress us with more achievements, and this time it was the 90’s famous game Spyro.

Player “Retro” managed to finish the entire Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage adventure in 8:29 minutes, beating the previous record of “Touval1” by twenty seconds. Of course like it is with most speedruns this timing was only possible by utilizing game’s glitches and bugs to teleport to places not reachable by normal players. It still requires a lot of skill nonetheless.
