Gambit Gaming snatches CS: GO tournament win at DreamHack Winter
Gambit Gaming, one name that we haven’t been hearing that often, has proven itself winning at DreamHack Winter’s CS: GO tournament building a good momentum going to ELEAGUE Major January next year.
The team managed to defeat Renegades in an unexpected final with the two underdog teams that proved to be worthy. The match opened with Nuke with Gambit controlling the flow of the game. Up 12–3 at the halfway point, Renegades did attempt to make a comeback but Gambit were strong enough to close it out 16–12.
On Cobblestone Gambit once again started strong with a 10–5 Counter Terrorist side. This time the comeback was less dramatic as Renegades did put together a few rounds near the end, but Gambit managed to close it out at 16–10 and secure the title.
The team take home $50,000 and the 1st place for their victory, with Renegades winning $20,000 at 2nd. Congratulations to the teams!
