World ranking for top CS: GO teams revealed and the best team is
The HLTV ranking for top teams of 2016 is finally here, and the top spot winner might not be a surprise for some. HLTV revealed its annual ranking for this year’s best performing CS: GO teams. According to the table, Swedes Ninjas in Pyjamas managed to get back their top spot after having been ranked 6th last year.
HLTV’s ranking depends on “teams’ achievements over the past year (with severe decay in points throughout each month), recent form over the last 2 months, and performance at offline events in the last 3 months. Each team is required to have a three-man core in order to retain their points and online results are included but have minimal effect (only affecting ‘Form’) at the top of the table and mainly serve to put new teams on the map.”
SK Gaming dropped down to second and Virtus Pro settled in third. Astralis came back to the top 10 in fourth, with other Danish squad Team Dignitas going back two spots at 5th. OpTic Gaming become the top North American side in 6th, jumping above Cloud9 who are in 7th. FaZe Clan, NAVI and G2 make up the remaining 7th to 10th places.
