Riot is adding a 15-minute surrender option to League of Legends
One of the “new” features to be added later for the popular MOBA League of Legends is the option to quit at 15 minutes mark instead of 20, according to Riot.
The new feature was planned to be added for quite some time, but other higher-priority projects postponed it and only recently the company started testing it out. Things like the new Client and matchmaking changes made it so the new surrender option had to wait, according to the official post on Nexus.
Andre “Meddler” van Roon also spoke about the feature being available in one region only at first. It will be different than the 20 minute surrender in that it’ll be an unanimous vote where all players have to agree on it. According to the statics a normal LoL match takes around 30 minutes and a lot of times even shorter, so 15 minutes make a lot more sense now than 20.
No news on any release date yet, but keep an eye out for your region might be the one to receive it first.
