ex-paiN players officially disband, now free agents

Reports by HLTV suggested that the Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad ex-paiN has decided to disband, and now the Team manager Rui “GMS” Gomes confirmed that the team is indeed defunct and all of the players are free agents looking for teams elsewhere.

Since paiN Gaming’s signing of the Cyclone’s roster, all eyes were on the Brazilians to see if the players from ex-paiN would survive the lack of organizational support. The team survived for a time, living in the United States, even signing Thiago “tifa” França in order to stay in the US a little longer.

Some players have already been standing in for teams such as zqkS who played for Selfless this past week against Renegades in ESL Pro League play.

“It was a mutual decision because we were very tired, and without an organisation it is best if we go our separate ways. There were no issues between the players or anything like that. duken’s departure and paiN dropping their support really affected the whole project and we were left without motivation as we would have to start from scratch.”
