ESL announces new deal with Emirates Airline to take Esports to the sky

Competitive gaming and its tournaments have conquered all land, so it was a matter of time before it continues to the sky. This is exactly the goal of ESL organization, partnering with one of the largest airlines in the world.

The well-known esports organizer revealed the deal earlier today with Emirates Airline, allowing all travelers to enjoy the biggest Esports events in recent history. Be it Na’Vi’s immaculate run through the ESL One New York 2016 bracket, biggest plays and storylines from Intel Extreme Masters World Katowice 2017 or Flash Wolves’ success story in the League of Legends bracket, they all will be available within the entertainment selection.

The deal will also encompass future stadium events like ESL One Cologne within the entertainment selection, so you can look forward to an extended library of esports highlights, across multiple titles and competitions. Sadly no live streams of events yet, but it’s a start.

“At ESL, we are always looking to increase the visibility of esports and are happy to work with Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, on our first inflight entertainment deal. As a truly global company with events all around the world, I’m sure that players and fans will enjoy ESL’s esports highlights as they travel on Emirates airline.” Torsten Haux, VP of Global Media Rights at ESL.

To familiarize yourself with ESL content on the Emirate’s Inflight Entertainment System you can check out the details on the official website.
