Memorial Day Rumble Event Announced for Overwatch Anniversary
Rivalcade announced today the Memorial Day Rumble Event for Overwatch one year anniversary celebration.
The event will see 16 teams fight for $5,000 , Eight teams were invited directly while another eight will go through a qualifier the day before the event on Friday, 26th of May. The main event then follows on Saturday and Sunday.
Many of the world best teams will gather in this event and both NRG and Tempo Storm will once again have to go through the open qualifier but FaZe participating is still unknown until now, however here’s all the invited teams :

Open Qualifier
- Single Elimination (Best-of-3)
- Top 8 qualify for the main event
- Entire qualifier played out for seeding
- $500 prize pool
Group stage
- 8 invited teams + 8 Qualified teams
- Divided into four groups of four
- Round Robin – Best-of-3
- Top 2 advance to the Playoffs
Playoffs
- 8 teams
- Double Elimination
- Best-of-3 with a Best-of-5 Final
The map pool was once again shrunk to mere eight maps, namely King’s Row, Numbani, Hollywood, Nepal, Lijiang, Gibraltar, Dorado and Volskaya.
