New Unreal Tournament announced , will be free to play and crafted with players help

Epic games revealed the new entry in the “Unreal Tournament” series , apparently it’s going to be a free to play shooter which is developed with the help of the players themselves .

“We’re happy to announce that we’re going to do this together, with you,”. senior programmer Steve Polge said .
“We know that fans of the game are as passionate about Unreal Tournament as we are. We know that you have great ideas and strong opinions about where the game should go and what it should be.So let’s do something radical and make this game together, in the open, and for all of us.”

Epic games also announced that it’s a small team of Unreal tournament veterans that are beginning to work on the project , then it’ll be followed by a collaboration in development with those who have a developing license for Unreal Engine 4 , along with fans who are going to give their feedback on the process through forums discussions , anyone is free to participate by creating a free account and joining the discussion .

The game will be a competitive FPS which supports modding to a far extent .allowing modders to buy and sell their contents through the game’s marketplace , with Epic games share of the project being a split between the mod’s owner and them , which results in the game to be completely free with no costs at all for players , Epic stressed that it’ll be “just free in the true sense of the word”.

The new game will take months before it’s in a playable shape , no release date has been given yet .
