DreamHack Open Valencia: EnVyUS and Red Reserve advance!
Team EnVyUs and Red Reserve have clinched the last two playoff berths at DreamHack Open Valencia 2017 after winning their decider matches.
Red Reserve won their match against Counter Logic Gaming with the final result 2:1. This happened even though CLG were about to win Mirage 16-12, as they were defusing the bomb and two of the Red Reserve players disconnected and CLG started celebrating. However, Kenneth “koosta” Suen was defusing without a defuse kit and time wasn’t enough.
Team EnVyUs faced KPI in a best-of-three decider match to determine who would advance to the playoffs. Vincent“Happy” Schopenhauer & company had a wonderful start and won Cobblestone 16-3 after a 12-3 win on the T-side.
Overpass was the second map and Team EnVyUs’ T-side was strong once again. They had a 10-5 lead at halftime and closed it out 16-10 on the CT-side. Tomorrow, the French squad will face NiP in the semi-finals.
