PENTA’ HS ” I want to play on the stage of a big tournament and get further than groups”

PENTA exited the group stage of  PGL Major Krakow 2017 with one win and three losses, defeating Vega Squadron and conceding maps to SK, North, and FlipSid3.

Some of the players came by the venue to watch the playoffs matches, one of them was Kevin “HS” Tarn who talked in recent interview on HLTV about his first Major:

Being one of the rookies and being such a new team, how has your experience been here at the Major?

It’s the biggest tournament I’ve been to, so it’s obviously the best for me, because I’m getting so much experience and learning so much as a player. In the future, I’m going to be much better as an individual, I’m going to help my team much more as well.

Have you talked about your matches in the group stage and what went wrong? Have you identified your mistakes?

Yeah, we know the problems. One of them was that we didn’t prepare enough for the enemy team before the games. We didn’t have a good enough game plan for them, especially against FlipSid3 on T side, we didn’t really have a plan against them, we only prepared for the CT side.

Does that come down to naSu not being here?

I guess it’s a small part of why we didn’t do it, because naSu used to do the most of the preparation for us. We kind of just forgot about it and didn’t do it well enough. I guess in the future, it’s going to be okay, because we learned from it and we will do it well next time.

Are you taking an extended break now like the other top teams? What are your plans for the next month, do you have anything going on?

I think we don’t have any events or anything coming up, so we will also have a long break. I’m not sure when we will start playing again, but I guess it’s going to be a long break like the other teams.

What are going to be your goals in the next couple of months?

For me, I would want to play on the stage of a big tournament and get further than groups.

Are you set for any tournaments whatsoever after the player break, or are you waiting to see whether you get invited somewhere, or qualify?

I guess we are just waiting for invites and qualifiers, we don’t have anything planned.

Has the Major helped organizers notice you more?

Yeah, definitely. Getting to the Major is going to get us out there and get us noticed for organizers. We should get some invites for bigger tournaments as well.
