North receive WCA 2017 European qualifiers final invite
Today, we learned about with the last team invited to the European qualifiers for the WCA 2017 World Championship after the sponsoring organization revealed the info.
North have received the final invite to the Farmskins European qualifier for World Cyber Arena 2017, the tournament’s organisers have announced.
The Danish giants, who are currently ranked third in the world, join Gambit, BIG, and EnVyUs on the list of teams who have been invited to compete in the knockout stages of the tournament.
The remaining four teams, Japaleno, FlipSid3, Space Soldiers and AGO, came through the group stage, in which big-name teams like dignitas, GODSENT and Vega Squadron were eliminated.
The knockout stages will run from October 16-20, with the top three sides advancing to the WCA Finals, which will take place later this year in China. There are also over $44,000 up for grabs in the European qualifier, with the winner taking home almost $27,000.
With North’s invite, the quarter-final match-ups now look as follows:
