Terrifying shooting at Jacksonville leaves professional gamers deceased at a Madden tournament

No more than two days after we heard about the painful incident of “McSkillet”, today’s news came to shake the world of video game players who have only seen such violence in virtual worlds represented with bright spots on their small screens

Four people, including local Madden contestants, have died and 11 others have been injured by a single person who has decided to turn a competitive evening in e-sports into hell for the attendants. The shooter terrified those at the tournament that took place in Jacksonville, right before the situation was handled by the police force.

The suspect, who was dropped dead, was one of the participants who were disqualified from the event, according to the official police statement, with no other suspects found in the crime scene to date. The horrific moments were heard online during the broadcast on Twitch, where thousands of viewers heard the sounds of gunfire, screams of help and pain of the injured (content may be disturbing for some).

The injured were immediately transported to the hospital but four others have already died. Among the injured is one of the Madden NFL players of compLexity, who said on his official account that he was “very lucky” to get out with only his thumb injured from the massacre.

US President Donald Trump was immediately informed of the incident, with an official statement from the White House office pending.

Our condolences to all those who died on this black day of e-sports competitions and a speedy recovery to the injured.
