SuperNova CS:GO Malta ends with a North American champion

We have already reported the results of the first SuperNova CS: GO Malta stage results, which takes us to the end of the group stage and to the final stage

We remind you before we enter the results of the critical stages that the group stage ended with the Team Liquid team in Group A and  NRG team in the first spots. Group B was taken over by HellRaisers and by BIG.

The first phase of battle between the NRG and HellRaisers teams started with the Overpass map, which showed a shocking performance by the latter team, led to a severe loss of 16-4, and their wake up plan was not very useful. In the second map Mirage, it ended with a 16-9 lead. The  top players were Ethan ‘nahtE’ Arnold and Vincent ‘Brehze’ Cayonte.

The second round of the semi-finals brought together BIG, who surprised us by his continued victory in this tournament, and another team that was outstanding : Team Liquid.

Not only did BIG not let their fans down, but also showed a great performance, especially in the first map Inferno, where they almost equalized with their opponent, but the loss was 16-14. The same scenario was repeated in the second map overpass, Team Liquid was the strongest team here to win the game. After 16-10, Johannes ‘tabseN’ Wodarz had a spectacular performance despite his team’s loss. The most dominating player in the match was Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski.

The final match and final battle of the tournament – based on the results above – between the Team Liquid and NRG teams, who are both remarkable teams.

The final with the first map started over Overpass, and there was a quick and strong rush for Team Liquid, which surprised NRG and made it show perhapswhat was  the worst performance in the tournament, losing to 16-4.

NRG regained its strength and took control of itself in a difficult and powerful battle on the second map Inferno, but the loss was their fate no matter what they did. Our last winner of the day and the Cup holder was Team Liquid, 16-14, and Keith ‘NAF Markovic was the spotlight in this last win, next to American Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski.

The team won a prize of $80 thousand dollars next to the cup of victory, and the order of the teams and prizes distributed to them was as follows:

Liquid – $ 80,000
2. NRG – $ 40,000
