IESF launches eSports referees workshop in South Korea
International Esports Federation (IESF) has announced the launch of unique workshops that will take place in Busan, South Korea, to qualify a number of global referees to oversee future esports events
The workshop, which will be held on December 12, will investigate the latest methods to develop and improve the existing Referee Course. IESF seeks to use the Referee Course as a center for its training, which focuses on the development of esports on a continuous basis, as well as rights of Esports athletes.
The workshop will be sponsored by Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA), both of which are key supporters of esports sustainability as a globally recognized sport medium.
IESF President Colin Webster said that he was pleased to see the impact of delegates’ insights on the current approach and how to improve it moving forward.
IESF is known to host a world-class tournament each year with the participation of teams representing a number of countries in a number of competitive video games, notably CS: GO, Tekken and more.
