DirectX 12 officially shipping with Windows 10

Microsoft confirmed that the latest version of the famous API DirectX 12 will come with the arrival of Windows 10.

Windows 10 is the latest installment for the well-known Operating System and is coming sometime next year 2015, it’ll have the full version of DirectX 12 while the Tech Preview that Microsoft released earlier this week actually has an early version of it intended for developers.

Currently there’s one graphical engine that supports this DirectX version which is Unreal Engine 4, but the development team said that they have “great working relationships with all graphics vendors”.

No word so far whether or not DirectX 12 will be exclusive to Windows 10 or not, so giving the habit of Microsoft releasing new version of DirectX on its latest OS we’ll have to expect that it is.
