Destiny has more than 9 million registered user, a second game in the work

The publisher to Call of Duty and Destiny games Activision announced that the later has now more than 9.5 million registered players and that a second game in the franchise is in the making.

Activision called Destiny “largest new franchise launch in history” and one of the largest 10 game launches ever in the US. Average playtime is about 3 hours for one user.

Next installment is in the making and new expansion packs to add more to the player’s experience in Destiny world are on the way.

Worth mentioning that Activision noted the 9.5 million is the number of registered users and not sold copies, as every copy owner can create more than one account in his game.
