Valve fixes a CS: GO radar exploit that was reportedly abused by a pro team
This little CS: GO exploit could have gone unnoticed for a long time, but MIBR player Epitácio “TACO” de Melo put it in the spot light through a tweet
The player pointed out the radar exploit, and ithad enough attention to quickly be resolved by Valve.
After a tweet from MiBR’s TACO, Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team wasted no time in making sure the radar can’t detect you until your smoke grenade has completely dissipated.
Fans of smoke grenades in CS:GO can breathe a little easier knowing that they’ve been buffed in the most recent Counter-Strike: Global Offensive patch. And all it took was a tweet from Epitácio “TACO” de Melo of MiBR fame.
Many fans in the CS:GO scene have noted that this might be a nerf to Astralis, who have used smoke grenades to great effect while this mechanic was working as it was previously. Time will tell if this is true or not as the IEM Katowice Major is getting underway later this week.
