Another day Another Delay: Dead Island 2 to 2016
Obviously it became normal for big titles to be delayed these times, As Yager studio announced that the upcoming zombie apocalypse title Dead Island 2 is facing a delay till next year to ensure the quality.
In a tweet by the development team, it was revealed that the true reason is to make sure Dead Island 2 presents a leap in games of the series, and that they need more time to reach that goal in Dead Island 2.
“We have always set ourselves a big goal for Dead Island 2: to create the sequel that takes Dead Island to the next level,” reads the statement. “A game that takes what our fans tell us they love about Dead Island – multiple different characters to play with, co-op, and turning a paradise setting into a zombie slaughter melee – and a game that adds a ton more content and combat options on top of that.
If the delay is for the good and will present a generally “Better game to play as a result” then we’ll have to wait and see.
Dead Island 2 releases in 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
