Another eSports Academy opens its doors in Malaysia

With eSports becoming more and more relevant and undoubtedly growing from strength to strength in Malaysia, this kind of endeavor seems necessary for this future sport. A new eSports Academy opens its doors to welcome everyone interested in the business of competitive gaming, be it players or managers.

After the unveiling of the country’s first eSports academy a few months ago, a similar institution is opening soon in state of Johor. the Academy Of eSports (AEOS) will offer two dedicated programmes for anyone who’s interested in a career in the competitive world of eSports.

The two programmes are eight-month long with four intakes in a year, and they focus on becoming a gaming athlete and events management. The Professional eSports (Dota 2) Athlete Programme will touch on various topics ranging from game mechanics to emotional control. On the other hand, the eSports (Dota 2) Events Management Programme will focus on event supply chain, event venue setups amongst other topics.

The classes will be conducted by three trainers with years of experience in the industry, and the academy will be offering free weeklong boot camps as well. The boot camps run for six days with dates from October to December 2017. Participants can expect intense training while they exchange tips and strategies on Dota 2.
