More Assassin’s Creed games in Chronicles: China style are on the way
Asassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is a new addition done in a style that Assassin’s Creed fans aren’t familiar with, it’s a side-scrolling or 2.5D game where you can’t have as much freedom and forced to move left or right only, and looks like this season-pass exclusive is going to spawn a new sup-series in the universe of assassin’s creed.
Ubisoft announced its intention to bring more games in this style as Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, and are going to be made of chapters each one consists of a different character and timeline.
“We really liked the side-scrolling idea, like Mark of the Ninja, and we thought it would be a really great way to explore some of the other universes we’ve created.
“One thing that’s really cool is that every one of the chapters of this game will be in the art style representative of that era in time. This is why Shao Jun’s game is like Chinese ink – very black and red. Once we have other characters and timeframes the art style will completely change to match that specific character.”
It’s not clear yet whether or not the new series is going to be standalone or bundled with season passes just like China, but creative director Alex Amanicio said he “doesn’t want to spoil the surprise.”
Assassin’s Creed: Unity releases November 11 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. the Season Pass contains Chronicles: China starring the Chinese assassin Shao Jun and Dead King DLC.
