Assassin’s Creed Unity, previously known as Assassin’s Creed 5, is the next installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity will be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A sister game called Assassin’s Creed Comet is also targeted for a 2014 release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but has not been confirmed as of yet. Assassin’s Creed Unity was announced on March 21, 2014 in a teaser trailer.

Among the new features of Assassin’s Creed Unity are a parkour movement function allowing rapid traversal of terrain.

In addition to Unity, a new Assassin’s Creed title for 360 and PS3 is also under development, code-named “Comet.”

If trends continue, the game will most likely be released in Fall 2014, and will feature a new protagonist. In addition, possible platforms which Assassin’s Creed 5 could be released on include (but are not limited to): Nintendo Wii U (possibly), Xbox One (confirmed), PS4 (confirmed), PS3, Xbox 360, and PC/Steam (confirmed).
