Astralis team officially honored in Copenhagen’s City Hall
Ever thought you’d see video game players honored in the most official way in the capital of a country? Will, that’s exactly what Astralis CS: GO champions had yesterday
Astralis team has been honored at the city hall in Copenhagen for their win at the E-League Major in January. The Astralis Twitter posted an image showing the players being celebrated in the city hall “in the same fashion as Olympic gold medalists”.
This is not the first time that the people of Denmark have shown their appreciation towards esports. Astralis coach, Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen, shared an image in December of 2016 that showed the team’s logo being displayed in a handball arena as they watched the match.
