Batman: Arkham Knight sales suspended on PC until the game is fixed

We’ve previously mentioned the things that went wrong with the PC release of Arkham Knight, which is considered the most shameful this year. Simply, the game does not work to a percent of its owners, as many of them faced hard crashes, saves corruption, and very poor performance even on the most powerful machines. All of which made Rocksteady pull out the PC version of the game immediately from stores and Steam.

Everyone who bought the game can now request a refund and claim the spent money. Rocksteady formally apologized to its PC fans on the weak release and promised to fix the game then re-release it sometime this fall.. bad news if you were waiting for the game to play on your rig.

“Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC owners,

We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.

Thank you to those players who have already given valuable feedback. We are continuously monitoring all threads posted in the Official Batman: Arkham Knight Community and Steam forums, as well as any issues logged with our Customer Support

So a big scandal it is for both Rocksteady and Warner Bros., as they’re both under fire for outsourcing their PC version of the game merely a couple of weeks before launch to a team of 12 developers as the rumors say. However, this could potentially be a good thing for PC gamers as more and more companies are going to take care of their games from now on. Actually, EA has already spoken to its fans ensuring that their PC version will be the best possible. While Konami made an official thread on Steam community asking PC players what do they want in their PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Until the PC release of Arkham Knight is fixed, the game is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
