BBC’s live coverage of League of Legends quarter-finals starts today

Even the BBC couldn’t escape the eSports fever that had take over the world of entertainment in the past few years. Tonight and as promised the famous network will be covering the World’s Championship Quarterfinals of “League of Legends”.

Today’s events take place in London’s Wembley Area. The coverage of this four-days tournament starts 4pm GMT live on the BBC website. Even though the coverage won’t take place on their TV channel but the mere recognition of a big network is considered a huge step in the way of spreading the act of eSports.

Commentators cast include DJ Dev Griffin from Radio 1, Leign ‘Deman’ Smith and James ‘Stress’ O’Leary. Text and audio commentary as well as pre-recorded videos are to be found on the channel’s official website.
