Bioshock creator’s next game is influenced by Dark Souls and Fallout
Again we hear more on Ken Levine’s anticipated game, which will be the most creative one Bioshock creator did yet. This time it was a few hints on what games helped shape the idea of his game.
At a charity live stream held by Levine, the developer spoke a little on his unknown project which will be a First Person game, saying that it will also be influenced by games of other genres and not only the one he’s comfortable working with.
When asked about what games influenced his new ideas, Levine said that he was inspired by few games like Dark Souls, System Shock, Shadow of Mordor, Dying Light and more. Although the list is big and of variable types, he said that his influence won’t be that apparent in the game and instead it will feel like his older games like Bioshock franchise.
Levine also said that he can’t describe his ideas clearly yet, as it’s a bit complicated and he’s still figuring out the best way to talk about them. We already know that his game will be a small-scale open world with high replayability, set in a sci-fi world and revolves around the themes of being programmed and artificial intelligence.
