Capcom unveils “Rashid” the first Arab character in Street fighter V

During the events of GAMES15 conference that’s now happening in Dubai, series director Yoshiniro Ono revealed what’s considered the first-ever Arab fighter in Street Fighter franchise going by the name of “Rashid”, as he’ll be available to play with when the game releases on PS4 and PC next year.

“Rashid” is a new fighter of a middle-eastern nature. It shows with his moveset that consist of controlling wind as well as his distinctive outfit. Rashid uses a variety of kicks and divekicks to get the job done, but we don’t have his full moveset information just yet as Capcom is yet to reveal it all. However, there’s a trailer for him that you can watch below:

Looks like fighting games are starting to compete in including Arabic characters. Tekken 7 has “Shahin” and now Street Fighter V with its “Rashid”.

Street Fighter V releases next year for PS4 and PC.
